About Cityline Dancers

    Tom and Ellen Dailey, founders of Cityline Dancers in Brooklyn, New York are partners in dance and partners in life.

    Having taught and DJ'ed since 1990, Tom and Ellen established the Cityline Dancers in 1991. They held classes in various locations around Brooklyn and finally found a home at the American Legion in the Flatbush section of the borough in 1994.

    As the Cityline dancers grew, Tom and Ellen expanded their classes to include Staten Island. They also teach one Friday a month at Dancin' In Rockaway. They have even had opportunities to teach in Hawaii and Panama. After 20 years, there are over a hundred members to the Cityline Dancers family.

    Tom and Ellen have sponsored workshops in New York for many of the top instructors and choreographers in the line dancing world. Joanne Brady, Peter Metelnick, Alison Biggs, John Robinson, Max Perry, Kathy Hunyadi, Lyndy, Johnny Montana and Junior Willis have all found their way to Brooklyn. They also worked with Barry and Darrianne Amato, Jo Thompson, Christopher Petre and Chris Watson of Australia.

    Over the years, Tom and Ellen have taught at various dance weekends including the Neville, Fallsview, Villa Roma and Swan Lake. Currently, they are committed to the Mishnock and Friends Dance Weekend in Hudson Valley with Dan and Kelly Albro of Rhode Island's Mishnock Barn, where they DJ and organize karaoke.

    Married almost 34 years, they are the proud parents of Anthony and Marta and grandparents to young Gaetano.
